Terms & Conditions

CarLink (car-link.live) is an online marketplace where private sellers and car companies across the UK advertise used vehicles to buyers. We provide the platform, search tools and contact details. We are not the seller of any car listed, and we are not a party to any sale agreed between a seller and a buyer.

You must be 18 or over and able to form a legally binding contract to use CarLink. Businesses listing cars must be legally entitled to sell them.

• Keep your sign-in details private and tell us straight away at support@car-link.live if you think someone else has used your account.
• Give us accurate information when you register, including a real name and a working email address.
• To publish a listing you must provide a genuine UK contact phone number. It is shown only to people looking at your live advert, so buyers can reach you.
• We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, is used for fraud, or whose contact details turn out to be false.

When you put a car up for sale you confirm that:

• You are the owner, or are acting with the owner's permission.
• The description is honest and accurate — mileage, MOT expiry, service history, damage, modifications, and any accident or flood history.
• The car is not stolen, and any written-off, finance or outstanding-logbook position is clearly stated.
• The photos and any video are your own and do not infringe anyone else's rights.
• You will keep the listing up to date and remove it once the car is sold or otherwise unavailable.

We check listings automatically and by hand, and we can refuse, move, hide or remove any listing — including where photos, price or wording look misleading, or where a vehicle is reported to us.

• Listing one car costs £3.99 (one listing credit). Credits stay in your account until you use them.
• The unlimited plan costs £12.99 a month and lets you list as many cars as you like while it is active.
• Payments are taken by our payment provider, Stripe. We never see or store your card number.
• A listing fee is charged when the car goes live. If we remove a listing that breaks these terms, the fee is not refunded. If a listing never goes live because of a problem on our side, we will credit it back.
• The monthly plan runs until you cancel. Cancel any time and you keep unlimited listings until the end of the period you have already paid for.

Prices may change. If they do, the price shown when you start a purchase is the price you pay for that purchase.

CarLink brings buyers and sellers together; the deal itself is between you and the other party. Before handing money over we strongly advise you to:

• See the car in person and drive it.
• Check the logbook (V5C), MOT history and mileage against a vehicle history check.
• Never pay a deposit to someone you have not met or a car you have not seen, and never accept an urgent request to move payment off the platform.
• Use a payment method that protects you, and get a written receipt with the seller's name, address and the vehicle registration.

Report suspicious adverts or sellers through our support page and we will investigate.

Saved searches send you an email when a car matching your filters is listed. You can delete a saved search or unsubscribe from any alert email in one click. Alerts stop if you delete your account.

• Post duplicate, fake or ghost adverts, or advertise a car you cannot sell.
• Copy photos, descriptions or prices from other sellers or other websites without permission.
• Scrape or bulk-download listings, or use bots, unless you have asked us first and we said yes.
• Interfere with the site, try to reach other people's data, or use it to send unsolicited messages.
• Use the site for anything unlawful, including money laundering, clocking or hiding a vehicle's true history.

You keep ownership of the photos, video and text you upload. By listing a car you give us permission to display, store, crop and resize it on CarLink and in search results so the advert can work. We do not sell your photos. When you delete a listing, we remove it from the site and take down the associated photos and video.

We store the account details you give us, your listings, your saved searches and any messages you send us, so the site can work and we can keep it safe. Your phone number is shared with people viewing your live advert so buyers can contact you. Ask us at support@car-link.live to see, correct or delete your information and we will do it where we are allowed to.

We aim to keep CarLink available but do not promise it will be uninterrupted or free of errors. The site is provided "as is" and we are not responsible for the condition, accuracy of description or legality of any car listed, or for any loss arising from a sale you complete with another user.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or anything else that cannot be limited under UK law. Where we are liable for something we could reasonably have foreseen, our maximum responsibility to you for a paid service is limited to the amount you paid for that service.

We can update these terms. If a change materially affects you we will tell you on the site or by email before it takes effect, and the version shown here (with its date) is the one that applies. You can stop using CarLink at any time and delete your account; we may suspend or end access if you break these terms.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales; if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you keep the rights the law of your country gives you. Complaints can be sent to support@car-link.live and we will reply.
